Add people to your organization
ForAdmins
There are two ways to add people:
| Email invite | Join code | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Specific people | A group, like all your subs |
| Roles you can give | Any role at your level or below | Teacher or Substitute |
| How they join | Sign in with the invited email and accept | Enter the code in FillMyClass |
The Teacher role is for people who request subs. To see what people do on their side, see Join an organization.
Invite people by email
Section titled “Invite people by email”-
In the admin menu, select Invites, then Invite users.
-
Under Email addresses, enter one or more addresses, separated by commas.
-
Choose what they get:
- District Permissions: roles for the whole organization, like District Administrator.
- Location Permissions: check a role under each location they’ll work at.
-
Optionally, change the Expiration date (30 days unless you change it) and add a message.
-
Select Invite users.
Invite status then lists who was invited, and anyone under Failed to Invite with the reason.
Location Administrators can only give roles at their own locations, and can’t invite District Administrators.
Follow up on an invite
Section titled “Follow up on an invite”Invites shows pending invites by default. Use Filters to see accepted, expired, or cancelled ones.
On a pending or expired invite, select the options button (⋮):
- Send reminder emails the invite again and keeps it open for at least 7 more days. You can send up to 3 reminders per address in 24 hours.
- Cancel invite stops the invite from working.
If an invite fails with “Pending invite already exists”, send a reminder instead.
Share a join code
Section titled “Share a join code”-
In the admin menu, select Join codes, then Create join code.
-
Give it a Join code name you’ll recognize later.
-
Under Role Assignments, check a role under each location.
-
Optionally, change the Expiration date (30 days unless you change it).
-
Select Create join code.
To share it, select View code or Copy code on the code’s card. People enter it by selecting Join with code in FillMyClass.
